The peaceful sound of nature sang, as if the birds and the rabbits where singing horribly out of tune to something. Yet suddenly a small bird perched on top of a willow tree lets out a warning call, and the land falls silent. Slowly, threw rustled bushes and snapped twigs. The silhouette of a cat emerges, in full. A young cat at that, probably barely old enough for clan apprenticeship. Slowly, the figure looks around threw frightened, tired green eyes. The sunlight cuts threw the leaves, eager to lighten the mood and warm the earth. The young cat squints his eyes and yawns, stretching out his limbs vigorously. Letting the sun warm his black coat, forgetting that sunlight can both help and harm.
He listens to the forest around him, the birds refuse to chirp and welcome him. Not even the crickets seem to greet him with their annoying chirping. But what is keeping them from singing? They usually sang when he was in different parts of this forest. The idea comes to mind that another figure, lurking in the cover of the shrubs and bramble bushes comes to mind, he digs his claws into the soft grass and tries to keep calm.
There's nothing here... There's nothing here... He keeps thinking himself, but it is starting to less and less likely that he is alone. The young cat starts to cry out of his paranoia, wanting to be tucked away in a den and hidden from what ever lurks in the shadows.
He tries to move his limbs, wanting to run away. Run as fast as possible from the creepy place. But something is keeping his paws glued to the grass, as if he must stay and see what happens. "H-Hello?" He stutters under a raspy voice, listening to the sounds of the forest. Silently praying to hear a snapping twig or breaking branch, something to let him know where or if there is something that hears him. (How'd I do? I hope it was entertaining at least. Please feel free to jump in and join the story, or change it, I don't mind )

Hollow watched the larger cat stretch. He kept his amber eyes hidden from among the leaves of the tree where he perched. The cat called out, and Hollow unsheathed his claws and grinned. Hollow jumped from the tree and landed on the black cats back, sinking his claws into the cats black fur. "Hello..." Hollow hissed in the cats ear.

The black cat falls to his side, trying not to squirm and wail for mercy. Though it was more and more difficult, with the claws turning his blood out. "What do you want..?"he whimpers, looking up at the cat who seems to be enjoying the thrill of torturing another cat.

Hollow blinked his amber eyes and twitched his paws, drawing more blood from the cat. "Just want to practice my skills." He hissed coldly. His dark tabby fur glistened in the moons light. He looked a lot like Tigerstar. He even had a scar on his muzzle and a knick in his ear. He flicked his thick furred tail and narrowed his eyes. "Your pitiful." Hollow growled, his nose now a whisker away from the black cats muzzle. He bared his fangs, showing pure-white fangs. "Maby i should rip your miserable neck open." He smiled broadly at this thought.

There wasn't any mistake, this strange cat did indeed want to kill him. But that couldn't happen under any circumstance! Though fighting is the last thing he wants to do. Though he was pressed under the cat, the black tom rolls on his back and scraps the attacker's underbelly with his back claws. Then by lifting the cat and pushing him off. The black tom stands, a totally different look in his green eyes. Where there was fear, there was blood lust. What ever tiredness was hidden in his eyes was replaced with adrenaline. "I hope I can provide enough fun for you until you 'rip my miserable neck open' And who knows, maybe I'll return the favor..!"
Though in the back of his mind, he was afraid for his life. What ever fiber of his body wasn't wired for this fight was screaming at him to run away. Maybe he could do a number and then leave? No. That's too cowardly, maybe he could make friends with the sudden enemy after the squabble. It's usually how he met most of his friends back in the desert, anyway.

Hollow was shocked. How could such a small cat be so strong? He bristled and strained his paws until they hurt. "You got guts kid, wandering into my territory. You got some power for a scrawny thing like yourself." His tail flicked quickly back and fourth, and from the gleam of the moon, his black collar was now visible, lined with ivory bones. Hollow started to laugh. "Your number is up now, KITTYPET!" He mocked the small cat. He wasn't sure if the cat was a kittypet, he just wanted the cat to be angry and charge. Then, when the time is right, he could rip open its belly like Scourge did to the Tigerclan leader! He would be looked upon as Scourge reborn in the fur of the cat he killed!

The small black tom tilted his head at the name. What was a kittypet? The name didn't sound familiar to him at all. Was it a kind of slave like the ones back in the desert? "Ugh... What's a kittypet?"
He'd seem to have forgotten all about the cat's boasting, claiming this was his territory. But that was another angle he was working on, maybe he could drop the other cats guard long enough to strike fatally...

"YOU MUST BE JOKING!" Hollow snarled, his fur standing on edge. "Well... maby i have to tell you..." Hollow suddenly sped forward, fainting a left and going right and raking his claws along the cats flank, drawing a lot of blood. "IN THE ONLY WAY I CAN!" Hollow screeched, biting the cats back leg and twisting, causing the cat to fall over. Hollow placed his paw on the cats neck, his claws faintly piercing more flesh.

There had been enough bloodshed and physical bruising, it was starting to get boring. Though death is nothing to yawn at, especially when your moments away from it. "Are you done fooling around yet? You still haven't told me two things, what a kittypet is, and your name." The black cat returned the clawing to the hostile cat and pressed both of his paws against the cats neck. Unsheathing his claws and drawing only a little bit of blood. "If I go... You're coming with me"

"Crafty one, aren't you? I don't give my name to just ANYONE." Hollow growled, biting the cats four-paw. Hollow kicked the larger cat away. "Tell me your name first. Understand me?" Hollow stood as tall as he could, shaking out his fur.

The black cat stands with a groan of annoyance. Thinking he's had enough of the other cats biting, it does get rather annoying. The pain it provides doesn't help either. "Will you stop BITING me first?!" He sighs and looks down at his paws, dragging his bloody paw behind his ear in a attempt to groom himself with the blood. "If I had a name... I'd gladly tell you, but I don't have such a honor."

"Well, that must suck. MY name fits me perfectly." Hollow growled, keeping his mussels tense for a surprise attack. "I'M Hollow, happy now?" Hollow narrowed his amber eyes, his tail flicking vigorously.

The black cat chuckles a bit at Hollow's name. It did indeed suit him. Hollow in the heart, at least. He nods his head, backing for distance between the two of them. Knowing Hollow still has ill intent for him. "Now that we're calm... Well, calmer. Do you know where I can find a place to nest? I've traveled far and I'm incredibly tired."

"And after ALL that you expect me to be friendly!?" Hollow hissed, arching his back. "YOU HOUSE-FOLK CATS MAY DO THIS, BUT WE FOREST CATS DON'T, ESPECIALLY NOT BLOODCLAN!" Hollow stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger. Hollow seemed smaller, but ever more vicious, and his scent seemed to change almost entirely. or was it two scents? Hollows fur seemed darker as well, and his eyes were as cold as ice. They almost seemed to be blue!

The black cat rolled his eyes. 'house-folk cats' and 'kittypets' were terms he wasn't used to. What exactly is Hollow talking about? But what's more intriguing is how he's changing so quickly, almost as if he has a type of hidden strength. Never the less, it doesn't stop the Black cat from swipping his claws down Hollow's face and covering both of his eyes in his own blood. Then pushing him to his side and standing on the opposite end of his paws. The black cat sighs and shakes his head. "Now, I'd like to know what bloodclan is as well. Like I said, I'm not used to this place. I was born and raised in the desert, this is all new to me."

"FINE. Well a- wait WHAT!?" Hollow got up, suddenly back to normal. Hollow blinked, a little shocked. "YOU? You came from the desert!?"

The black cat nodded his head tiredly. He turns his head and yawns, not wanting to offend hollow with bad breath or something of that nature. "Aye, I'm from the desert...Banished, I had to move myself to the forest and try to start again. But you can clearly e how that's going." He looks over his shoulder, thinking he heard another twig breaking. Perhaps it was one of Hollow's friends? There is only one way to find out...

Hollows fur bristled at the sound of a breaking twig. Hollow flicked his head to the sound, his mouth open for any scents of a strange cat or anything else. "I guess we are being watched. Follow me, I guess you WILL get your rest after all."

The black cat nodded, walking behind Hollow. Despite having aching limbs from his teeth, it seemed to not matter. Pain was a every day thing in the desert, there was no reason to get soft now. He looked around the forest with curiosity, not knowing where Hollow was taking him. "Where are you taking me?" Silently, he hopped Hollow knew where the desert was. He wasn't used to hunting for mice in the shrubs, he used to hunt geckos in the sand. Every tree looked the same and they seemed to stretch on forever and ever.

Hollow trotted over to a hollow log that had toppled over and scented the air. Hollow jumped the log, passing it clearly. Hollow looked back to make sure the cat was following and raced away at a speed the cat could manage. Soon they came to an old badger burrow and he stoped. "Welcome, to my den." Hollow flicked his tail to the hole. "Its not much, but its something."
