Pinestar made his way into the large clearing that marked the main area for his Camp. His head held high, the long furred silver tom observed the activity around him. He watched as cats strode into the clearing, blinking sleep from their eyes and turning to his deputy to see what their duties would be for the day ahead. The tom purred, proud of the cats in front of him. The bramble walls surrounding the camp kept them safe, as did the well trained loyal warriors within them. Milk scent drifted from the branch woven den that was the nursery, where the queens tended to their kits; future Thunderclan warriors. Pinestar flicked his ears towards a kit wailing inside, that was hushed by the soothing voice of a queen. Perhaps some day Pinestar would find a mate, and have kits of his own. Giggling sounded from another den not far away, where the apprentices slept. The young cats are eager to begin their training, a good sign. Pinestar thought to himself, purring. The elders den was empty for now, and Pinestar looked at the empty den with a longing in his eyes. It was not long ago that he himself curled up and listened to the stories that the old cats had to share, as a kit and later on as an apprentice. He missed the stories of battle and betrayal, and victories and failures. Now, those stories shaped the way he would lead his clan. Continuing his gaze over the camp, his eyes rested on the medicine cat den, a shallow scoop on the far side of camp. It was empty except for the medicine cat, which was another good sign. No cats were injured or sick, but Pinestar knew it would be foolish to think it would never happen. He felt a rush of pride in his clanmates, for doing so well and being so strong and loyal. Perhaps I should go and join a patrol... Pinestar got to his paws and padded towards his deputy, meowing, "Do you have a place for me to join in?"

Lightstream crawled out of the warrior's den, yawning. "Good morning!" She said in a cheery voice, and sat down, starting to groom her light gray fur, the darker spots showing clearly, and her ice blue eyes bright with energy. Lightstream looked around after cleaning her fur thoroughly, and decided to have her share of fresh–kill in the morning. She bounced up and walked toward the fresh–kill pile in long strides, stretching. She gingerly took a plump squirrel from the pile and carried it to a warm spot in the sun. It was quiet as dawn rose, and Lightstream was looking forward to another new day.

Pinestar turned to hear pawsteps on the earth outside the warriors den as a light fray she-cat padded out. "Good morning, Lightstream." He purred warmly, watching her for a moment before padding over to a sunny area to sunbathe. The camp was still very quiet, and he yearned for more warriors to awaken so he could leave on patrol. The camp needs to be safe before I do that, though... He wrapped his tail neatly around his paws, watching a few leaves fall carelessly across the sky.

Lightstream glanced at him, then licked her paw and drew it over an ear. "Have things been going well lately?" She asked, nosing her prey over to him. "Here, take my squirrel. You must be tired, waking up this early."

Pinestar blinked gratefully at Lightstream before taking a bite of the squirrel. "Thanks." He purred, licking his lips. "Things have been going well, thanks to the clan." He meowed, looking around with a gleam in his eye. "Although it would be nice for kits to be born, to have more paws." He turned back to the squirrel, chewing on a rather gristly part as thoughts flew through his mind. Finishing up the last of the squirrel, the tom licked at his whiskers and drew his paw over his face a few times. "Thanks, again." He mewed.

"No problem. I can go hunting later." Lightstream purred, looking up at the sky, her fur ruffling slightly in the breeze. The warmth felt good on her back, and she lay down, her tail flicking. "I love it when the Clans are at peace, and when the leaves fall, bringing winter. It gives the forest a beautiful white look, and the air is crisp and clean. Our Clan feat to focus on happier things."

Pinestar purred at her words, enjoying the company. "Peace is an amazing thing to witness, isn't it? I am glad that things have been peaceful while I am leader, but one can not expect it to last forever. Although I hope it will." He laughed, his tail swooshing against a few leaves. "Maybe when another warrior awakens, we can go hunting together?" He mewed to Lightstream.

Nightleaf pushed his way out through the leaves of the warriors den, his black fur soaking up the sunlight, and padded his way over to Pinestar and Lightstream. "good morning!" He purred happily with a respectful dip of the head to his leader. "Did I hear something about a hunting patrol?" He queried, the tip of his tail flick in excitement at the prospect of chasing down prey. "If you still need another cat I'd be happy to come along."

Lightstream nodded at her Clan leader, looking towards the camp exit, then back at Pinestar. "That would be great!" She purred.

With a flick of his tail, Pinestar got to his paws. "Thanks Nightleaf. Lets go, you two." Padding towards the exit of camp, he nodded to Nightleaf, "You lead." He purred, wanting to give the warrior some more practice when it came to leading patrols. He fell behind to take up the rear of the patrol, his paws moving quickly and quietly.
ooc; Reven would you like to make the hunting patrol thread in the territories section or shall I? ovo

Lightstream rose to her paws, and followed, walking beside Pinestar. There was a bounce in her paws as she walked, and was ready to hunt. "The prey's been plentiful this greenleaf! I'm sure we'll find lots." She exclaimed, her tail flicking with excitement.

Nightleaf twitched his ears and stood up, slightly surprised by the leader telling him to take the lead. "I'd be happy to." Wake up, lead your clan leader on a hunting patrol. That's totally a normal way to start the day. With a shrug he took the lead heading towards the bramble entrance of the camp, but paused for a moment when he heard Lightstream's comment. "Did I sleep through Greenleef? I haven't seen any leaves falling out of trees just yet mousebrain." He mewed teasingly at the pale coated she cat. Flicking one of her ears with the tip of his long thin tail he continued towards the entrance of the camp and pushed his way out into the surrounding forest, dropped into a half crouch and prowled forth into the undergrowth, senses alive and ready for the hunt.
OOC: uhhhh lightstream.... it's currently Greenleaf ^.^" if you look on the front page, there's a little strip near the top that says "news". One of the things that pops up is the current season. And I'll make the thread Ang3l.

(OOC Whoops! Last time I checked it, a while ago, it said leaf-fall, so I was behind a little. I just changed it)
Ic: Lightstream laughed. "Of course it's greenleaf! But you should always look toward the future." She looked up again. The bright sun had now rose, waking up the forest with bird calls and warm scents. She sniffed the air, many prey scents overlapping.

Speckledlily yawned and rolled onto her side as she finally woke up, warm and content. She had been having a very strange dream. In it, the camp had been flooded with mice, and even stranger, the mice had been swimming through air. Her stomach gave a small rumble, motivating her to open her eyes and stretch. I'll go grab a nice juicy mouse and then see if there's a patrol for me to join she decided. Looking around at the other nests, she noticed most seemed to be empty. Foxdung! I woke up late again! she realized, quickly rushing out of the Warrior's den, hoping that maybe, just maybe, the hunting patrol hadn't left yet. To her dismay, it had. She sunk down and mentally scolded herself. You had one job, mousebrain! Wake up early and ask to join the patrol! But no, you just had to sleep in again! She sighed, and with one more yawn, got up and headed over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a mouse, exactly like the ones in her dreams, except dead and certainly not floating, and carried it over to a sunny patch to sit and eat.

Softpaw lay in the shade of the medicine den, her gaze fixed on the camp entrance. She really wanted to go out and try to get a little exercise, but she knew that she would get in trouble if she tried going out on her own. 'Why did I have to be born so weak?' she asked herself, the tip of her tail twitching in irritation. Movement out of the corner of her eye caught her attention, and she turned her head to see Speckledlily coming out of the warriors den. She watched at the warrior approached the fresh kill pile, and she got to her paws letting out a sigh. "Suppose, I might as well get something to eat, so I won't be hungry later on,' she thought as she walked over to the fresh kill pile. She grabbed a vole from the pile and retreated back to the shade of the medicine den, to eat her vole.

Speckledlily watched as Softpaw picked up her vole and went back to the Medicine Cat's den. Seeing the young apprentice reminded her that she should ask about the tummy aches she'd been having on and off for the past couple of days. She finished up her mouse, and gave herself a few quick licks before padding over to the Medicine Cat's den. "Good morning Softpaw." she greeted, dipping her head. "Is your mentor around?" she asked, looking around at all the various plants and seeds. The idea that this young cat would have to learn about each item and what it did made her head spin.

Softpaw had just started to eat her vole when the sound of paw steps reached her ears. She paused in the eating of her vole and looked up. "Hello," she said in her usual emotionless voice. She got sat up when shd heard the warriors question, and she gave a quick shake of her head. "Sorry to disappoint, but I haven't really seen my mentor today. Though, she show up she still has to train me after all," she meowed looking away. She let out a sigh her eyes fixed on the camp entrance, and she narrowed her eyes thinking back to her ceremony. "Though, if you need my mentor for something, I could pass on a message to her when I see her," she meowed flicking her ears back and forth.

Speckledlily's tail drooped in disappointment. "Oh, I see... Well, perhaps you could help me?" she asked, perking up a bit. "Lately I've been getting stomach aches, and I can't figure out why." she said before the apprentice would answer her question. She hoped that giving the young cat a chance to use the skills she's been learning might make her more cheery. Come to think of it, Speckledlily didn't think she could remember the last time she saw Softpaw in a cheery mood. Hopefully this would be a good experience for her, and not end up with an even worse bellyache than before.

"Well, not knowing the cause will make it harder to prevent from happening," she said looking at the warrior as she spoke. "However, I have learned a few herbs that could help with getting rid of a stomachache when you have one," she said trying to think of what could be causing if. "It is Greenleaf, so it is actually easier to get a stomachache. One thing that could cause a stomachache could be drinking water to fast. That is the main cause for stomachache in Greenleaf; since, it is gets really hot in Greenleaf everyone tends to go a little crazy when it comes to trying to stay hydrated. Another factor could be the prey you eat, prey gets bad faster in Greenleaf so you could accidentally be eating prey that has been left out in the sun to long," she meowed. "I do have a question of my own. Do you have a stomachache right now?" she asked.

Speckledlily thought about what she'd said. The prey she had been eating tasted just fine, so she was sure it wasn't that. But Softpaw did have a point about the heat, and realized that she did have a habit of gulping down water too quickly. "I don't have a stomachache at the moment, but I think you could be right about the water." she admitted, a little embarrassed. "It's hard not to drink fast when it's so hot outside." she mewed. "Especially when we're out doing patrols or hunting."
