Blazheart sniffed the air, cautiously checking signs for any hostile creatures that might not appreciate bumping into them. Luckily, the only smell was the musky scent of the forest air. The sun shined through the canopy of trees, warming the earth under her pads. Blazeheart was tempted to just spend the day sunbathing, but she had a task at hand right now. Blazeheart turned towards Badgerpaw, her apprentice, waiting for him to catch up.
"Here's a good spot,"the ginger she-cat mewed, gesturing her tail to the tree they stood at the base of. The tree was quite tall, but the trunk had wear and tear in the bark, perfect for a cat's paw to get a good grip.
"We'll start small. I don't want you getting overexcited and climbing all the way up and risk falling down,"she warned Badgerpaw, narrowing her eyes at him to make sure he was listening. "Try climbing up a tail-length up this tree. Use your instincts first, then I'll show you some technique,"Blazeheart meowed, stepping back to allow her apprentice to have some room to climb.

"Ok!" Badgerpaw said excitedly. He went up to the base of the tree and stared at it. Ok, let your instincts take over or something. Whatever.
The apprentice looked up and down the trunk, then leaped at it, fastening all his claws into the bark, hearing a satisfying crack. All right!.... Now what do I do??? The tom came to the realization that he didn't know what to do next. He tried to unsheath his right back leg's claws, but instead it resulted in him losing all his grip and tumbling off of the tree, headfirst into the dirt.
Ugh. Badgerpaw got up and shook off the dirt and bark from his pelt. He started to clean off his face and looked away in embarrassment. After a while, he asked "How did I do?" The apprentice knew the answer though.

((Sorry for the late reply >< been super busy lately))
Blazeheart watched, not surprised that her apprentice couldn't manage to even go up a few whisker-length before tumbling back to the ground. The dark ginger she-cat twitched her whiskers in amusement, though she stopped herself from purring with laughter. It would probably make Badgerpaw feel more embarrassed.
"Better than my first time actually,"the warrior admitted, using her tail to bat a piece of bark that still clung to the young tom's shoulder.
"I couldn't even grip it properly and ripped off a claw from that,"she said, flexing her paws as if remembering the slight sting of her claw breaking off. Walking to the base of the tree, the she-cat bunched up her muscles, keeping her green eyes on the bark and analyzing where to grip her claws.
"Watch me,"she said curtly to her apprentice. Leaping forward, the she-cat dug her claws into the bark, keeping her weight shifted towards the trunk of the tree. "You had a good balance in the beginning but I could tell you were stuck after. Keep your back claws unsheathed. Use them as a foundation while your front claws climb forward,"Blazeheart explained, demonstrating so as she carefully clawed up the tree, her entire body extending upwards as she moved while her back legs remained in place.
"Once you have a good grip of your front claws, you can quickly unsheath your back claws and thrust them forward and get another good grip. But don't take your time, or you'll slip and fall." With that said, the she-cat's back legs quick sprung forward, attaching her claws into the bark. It was almost like her entire body was a stretched out spring and her backlegs just followed after.
Leaping off the tree and landing perfectly on off fours, the dark ginger she-cat gave herself a quick shake. "Now you try,"she invited, stepping back to let Badgerpaw try one more time.
((I hope the explanation made sense XD It's kinda hard to describe lol))

OOC: Quick post, I'm on my phone. I apologize in advance if it isn't 6 sentences, I'm dead tired x.x
Spottedkit followed her brother's scent, but she had to admit, Thunderclan's territory was pretty huge and majestic! She wouldn't even know where to go, and she would've definitely lost her way if it weren't for the nice trail Badgerpaw had left behind.
Snowkit rushed after her. "Where are you going?" she yelped, constantly looking around in fear, as if someone had been chasing them and was ready to attack any moment now. "Come on, Spottedkit, I want to go home!"
"Then go by yourself! I want to see what Badgerpaw's doing!" Spottedkit replied, annoyed by Snowkit's cries, wails and whines. But honestly, she didn't know the way back to camp anyway, so the only safe thing she could do, is try to find Badgerpaw and Blazeheart.
Snowkit wanted to go back to camp very badly, but still stayed with Spottedkit. She had no idea where she was and didn't want to end up alone in this huge forest, so she silently followed Spottedkit.

Badgerpaw was impressed by his mentor's tree climbing. She makes it look so easy! When Blazeheart got off the tree and told him to go, he put on a determined face and was about to try out the advice she gave him when the apprentice heard the faint pawsteps in the distance behind them.
"Umm, Blazeheart, do hear that? Someone's headed for us!" the black and white cat exclaimed, turning around and looking for the cats that were approaching. He perked his ears when he heard the high-pitched squeaking voices coming from the sound of the footsteps.
"Wait a minute..." Bagerpaw mumbled, walking towards the sound. "I recognize those voices." He stopped, seeing two small figures in the distance, waiting for their approach. "Don't you see them Blazeheart?" He asked, but mostly to himself.

Blazeheart's ears pricked up too, listening to the wails that Badgerpaw indicated. The dark ginger she-cat had been so concentrated on teaching that she hadn't even noticed until her apprentice pointed it out. Turning her head towards the direction of the incoming pawsteps, the ginger she-cat lifted her nose to sniff the air, however the strangers were upwind to them, so there was no way to tell if they were ally..or foe.
"Keep close..let me check it out first,"Blazeheart quickly hissed to Badgerpaw, using her tail to bar his way before he took another step forward. She was cautious and slightly suspicious it could be cats from another Clan intruding...but they wouldn't be that mouse-brained to make this much noise. Pacing herself slowly forward, the she-cat allowed the bushes and shrubs to hide her presence as she slunk forward, keeping her dark green eyes locked ahead, seeing the bushes shudder as the intruders drew closer.
When they were close enough, the dark ginger she-cat lept forward with a warning growl, blocking the pair's way with her towering figure. It at this moment did she finally recognize the two young kits.
"What are you two doing here out alone?!"Blazeheart meowed in surprise, taking a quick step back and hoping she didn't scare the kits to death. Glancing around, she saw no sign of Petalstorm anywhere. "Where is your mother?,"Blazeheart growled sternly.

You'd expect Snowkit to run away, given the fact she was always the one being scared of everything and Spottedkit always acting brave, but when Blazeheart jumped at them, it was Spottedkit who hid behind Snowkit, while the white kit jolted up and made herself look big, hissing in reflex. Once Snowkit noticed that the cat standing in front of her was Blazeheart, she relaxed her muscles and greeted her with a purr. "I thought you were a mean cat who was going to kill us!" She yelped. "Spottedkit ran away, I made sure she were safe!" Spottedkit, still somewhat hiding behind her sister and trembling in fear, opened her mouth to reply, but she was too scared to say anything.

Badgerpaw silently followed Blazeheart from behind, sniffing the air to make sure this wasn't an ambush. Who would be stupid enough to cross our territory?! He thought. But the apprentice knew those voices from somewhere, so they can't be enemies, right?
Suddenly, Blazeheart stopped in her tracks, and he heard the bushes rattle, signaling that the strangers were closer. He open his mouth for a scent... What?! No, I thought that they were supposed to stay in the cam-
Out of the blue, his mentor leaped forward, and he heard her growl. "Wait, Blazeheart, I know who!" He cut off as he heard a frightened yelp, and then high-pitched hissing. Then, it all stopped abruptly.
Badgerpaw jumped over the bushes, where he found Blazeheart scolding his two kit sisters. "I knew it! What are you two doing here?! Petalstorm is going to be worried sick!" He exclaimed. His eyes scanned the two kits, seeing Spottedkit cowering behind Snowkit.
OOC: I'm sorry I haven't been posting recently. It's been quite busy nowadays. I hope you guys don't mind.
