Jetstar somehow managed to awaken earlier than usual that day, the morning sun leaking through the deep cover of his den and leaving bright patterns dancing along the ground as the coniferous trees shifted with the early breeze. The leader stretched, feeling his muscles ache beneath his thin, jet black coat from practicing fighting with the apprentices the previous day. Slowly maneuvering himself out of his den, he found darkness still lingered in the majority of the camp, his den being one of the few lit by the morning sun. He yawned, still tasting his last meal of vole from the last night. The ground was wet in the clearing, marking the typical marsh-like territory that his Clan, ShadowClan, loved and cared for. He glanced over at the Clan, watching cats slowly begin to awaken with drowsy eyes and prepare to go about their day. He searched for his deputy, eyeing the warriors den carefully for signs of movement. However, it was still dark and the thick brambles gave no sign of life, although he knew that his proud and loyal Clan members still lingered beneath it. In contrast, a symphony of small meows and growls erupted from the nursery, and he glanced over with kind eyes. The kits there would be strong one day, as their mothers and fathers were. He purred at the thought of having his own one day, running around in anticipation of becoming a warrior or an apprentice. Speaking of which, Jetstar found his eyes wandering towards the apprentice's den, hidden away beneath a tree stump. There was silence there, and the leader purred in amusement as he recognized the difference between the pesky kits and the warriors in training. They were tired from yesterday's practice, although he knew their mentors would still wake them up to train more today. It had been long since he had been in such a position, and he envied the young cat's excitement to learn and explore. His gaze shifted over to the medicine cat's den, concealed carefully under rocks and moss. Although he simply wished that there was not a need for medicine cats to heal after Clan battles, he valued their wisdom and help and the leader always would consult his medicine cats before making any decisions. Even though the medicine cat had not yet seemed to rise, the leader dipped his head to show respect for their knowledge.
Jetstar glanced back up as he heard shifting from the warriors den, and he slowly made his way over and promptly sat beside the entrance, awaiting his deputy so that the morning patrols could be organized. Jetstar wrapped his tail around his paws carefully, feeling the breeze brush against his fur as he closed his dual-coloured eyes, thinking about the day to come. Perhaps it would be beneficial for him to join his Clanmates on one of their patrols, or even go hunting. Prey was not scarce, though, but that meant that he should feed up his Clanmates while there was a plentiful selection of food.

A pretty brown she-cat with long feathered fur jumped from the warriors den, her green eyes bright. She padded towards the small dark shape of her leader, Jetstar, purring as she did so. "Good morning, Jetstar." She mewed happily, her long tail swooshing excitedly. "Do you think I could go hunting, before the others wake up?" She asked hopefully, wanting to hunt as well as visit her favorite berry bush while she was away. She licked her paw quickly, dragging it over her ears and face as she waited for a response.

Jetstar perked his ears as he heard and spotted the approaching cat, recognizing Aspenfur quickly and purring to greet her. "Good morning, Aspenfur," he meowed politely, slowly standing up and glancing up to look at her directly, "Of course you can, but I hope you wouldn't mind if I accompanied you. I feel next to useless this morning and my muscles have begun to ache, I need to stretch them out. Maybe I'm getting a little old," he joked, stretching his muscles as he spoke. His deputy could organize the patrols, and it wouldn't hurt anyone if the two of them went out hunting before the majority of the camp woke up. He curled the tip of his tail self-consciously, wondering what he could catch if Aspenfur did wish for his company. It had been a while since he had been on a hunting patrol, as he always found himself busy either performing regular patrols or helping out with the apprentices. He never minded doing small tasks like that, and it allowed him to be more personal with the young cats. Although he was sure that he would get laughed at behind his back for it, he didn't mind as he enjoyed the presence of the young apprentices and the tasks were still important.

Aspenfur felt her spirits fall a little at not being able to go relax by her berry bushes. However, they quickly soared again at the thought of hunting alongside her leader, "It would be an honor, Jetstar." She purred, seeing the light in his bi-colored eyes. It sure was strange, those eyes being on a black pelted cat... She thought, but shrugged the thought away. Jetstar was an amazing leader, and that is all she needed to focus on. "Where shall we go?" She mewed, looking towards the exit cheerfully.

Stormsight awoke to the sound of dripping water, her usual wake-up routine. The dawn light crept over her fur, warming her slightly as she stretched in the morning dew. She gave a cursory glance to the stores of medicines, poultices, and dried leaves, noting the low levels of cobwebs and marigold. Wanting to stretch her legs, the grey she-cat slipped out of her den, the leaves brushing her sides as she entered the main clearing.
The smell of morning washed over the female, and she tasted the air with closed eyes, enjoying the wet ground beneath her feet. The sounds of other cats stirring filled her ears, and she opened her blue eyes to see Jetstar and Aspenfur holding a conversation. Her paws led her to the pair, nodding her head in greeting. "Good morning, Jetstar and Aspenfur," she meowed, eyes sparkling in the watery light.

Aspenfur turned slightly to look at Stormsight. "Good morning, Stormsight!" She purred to the grey warrior warmly, flicking her tail to beckon her over more. "Would you like to join me and Jetstar on a hunting patrol?" She meowed, "If that's alright with you, Jetstar?" She asked the black tom, eyes large. She squeezed her claws into the ground in anticipation of the hunt, eager to go.

(OOC: Sorry for not posting for a bit, been busy.)
Jetstar purred as the medicine cat approached, meowing a good morning to her. As soon as Aspenfur offered for her to join them on the hunting patrol, the leader glanced back at the medicine cat den. "Of course, I'd love to have her join us. I'm sure we can find some medicines if you're low on anything, and if not, an extra vole or two won't do anyone any harm," he flicked his ears, eyes slowly drifting back over to the medicine cat with admiration. What a hard role it must be to fill, seeing all the injured cats and trying to heal them back to health. It must be rewarding when the medicine cat succeeds, though. His ears swivelled back towards the forest, listening to the chatter of the birds and feeling himself relax as he heard them. There was no shortage of prey, nor was there a shortage of music this Greenleaf.

Meanwhile in the Warriors den Nightpelt began to stir from his slumber, tail tip twitching as he slowly woke up and realized just how much he disliked waking up early. He'd much rather stay asleep well into the day but if he did that then he wouldn't be much of a Deputy now would he? With a groan the dark furred Deputy pushes himself up into a sitting position and yawns. He sits there a moment longer than truly needed before finally pulling himself to his paws and stretching out his muscles before making his way out of the den and into the clearing. He doesn't go far though, because the first patch of sunlight he finds he lays in with another tired yawn. Why did waking up early have to be a thing? Why couldn't clan life start around sun-high when he was actually wide awake and not wanting to crawl back into his nest?
OOC: I hope that's an okay first post hehe ovo;;

Stormsight nodded to Aspenfur, and contemplated the trip. "Well, I am running low on some common herbs... And I definitely need to get out of the camp for a bit, so... I would love to accompany you two on your trip," she meowed, purring in delight. She glanced at Jetstar, pleased he was getting out of the clan for once. Many leaders became recluses as they accepted their duties, neglecting a cat's natural instinct to run and hunt. The fresh air would make him stronger, and the clan would have more freshkill by the end of the trip, hopefully. Flicking her tail, Stormsight's one working eye spotted the clan's deputy exiting the warrior den. Maybe he would join the hunting expedition also.

Swiftwhisper woke up when she felt something soft brush her nose, making her sneeze. Letting out an irritated growl, she pushed herself to her paws and glared at the sleeping warrior that had woken her up. Scowling she pushed her way out of the warriors den, and her gaze quickly scanned the clearing. She spotted the leader talking to another warrior, and the medicine cat was also talking to him. Frowning she looked around and spotted the deputy laying in the clearing. 'Shouldn't he be performing his duties?' she thought scornfully.

Two amber pools of light flashed for a split second inside the Apprentice's Den. They pools of light, having been the eyes of a she-cat by the name of Deathpaw. Her gaze was focused on the activities occurring in the camp clearing. Standing up, Deathpaw's smokey black and tabby fur blended in perfectly with the darkness of the Apprentice's Den. With a slight smile, she slowly stepped out of the Den, allowing her eyes to adjust before giving herself a quick cleaning, after all , danger had to be presentable.
Deathpaw was by no means stupid and was sure she had some clan members that were wary of her. It was probably the reason she hadn't been approached as she finished cleaning herself before stretching out her limbs. Feeling ready to finally try to participate, Deathpaw decided that for once she'd let her clan-mates go to her.

As warm and nice as the sunlight felt against his dark fur, Nightpelt knew he couldn't lay about doing nothing much longer. He was the Deputy after all, he should be organizing patrols to check the boarders so with a small sigh the tom pulls himself to his paws and yawns before stretching out each of his legs. Glancing around the only cats that seemed to be doing nothing right now were Deathpaw and Swiftwhisper. Although their patrol would be small he didn't think they'd encounter any problems, so he heads over to Swiftwhisper first. "Good morning Swiftwhisper, care to join me patrolling the boarders?" The tom asks before glancing over towards the Apprentice Deathpaw. "Deathpaw could you come here a moment?"

Deathpaw's ear twitched in the direction of the Deputy's voice. Lashing her tail in annoyance, Deathpaw stalked over to Nightpelt. The she--cat's reason for being in a grumpier than normal mood this morning was rather simple, she had dreamt of her revenge coming true. Having woken up to find out it hadn't had infuriated.
"You called?" Deathpaw asked, not exactly in the happiest or eagerest of tones.

Nightpelt doesn't give the Apprentices clearly grumpy mood too much though, probably a bad nights sleep or something like that. "Yes, I was wondering if you'd like to join me on patrol?" He asks. Nightpelt would rather give a cat a chance to decide if they wanted to go on patrol rather than telling them they had too. He remembered being an Apprentice and just wanted to stay in camp but being forced to go on patrol anyway. "We could also hunt on the way back if you both like." He says with a small purr. Either way they'd likely hunt on the way back at some point, it'd be hard to pass up the chance to cat prey.

Swiftwhisper had just started grooming her fur when the sound of paw steps reached her ears. Letting out a sigh she paused in her grooming and looked up to see Nightpelt approaching her. 'Oh great, what does he want?' she asked herself as he finally stopped in front of her. "Sure, sounds great," she meowed bluntly. She heard the deputy call out to Deathpaw and she sighed. She listened to Nightpelt invite Deaths along, and she smirked seeming somewhat amused. "Oh,, won't this day just be fun," she said sarcastically. She looked between De athpaw anf Nightpelt, as she waited to hear what Deathpaw would have to say about going on patrol. She knew that they were all pretty much grumpy, and she wanted to see how well this patrol went with all three of them on it.

Aspenfur purred happily, "Great! I can help you find herbs if you'd like. I can carry a bunch." She mewed to Stormsight, flickering her ears in the direction of Nightpelt and the other cats. "They must be going on patrol, too." She noticed watching them growl at each other with a slight smile. Was she the only easy going cat in camp? She wondered, turning back to Jetstar and the medicine cat. "Lead the way, Jetstar." She squeaked, brushing his shoulder gently with her fluffy tail. Perhaps she wouldn't be without the fresh smell of berries today, after all.

Jetstar nodded swiftly, glancing over at his awakened deputy and purring in amusement. Nightpelt was never good in the mornings, unfortunately, although the cat meant well. That group would not have a very good morning patrolling, also taking into consideration the grouchy apprentice. The leader stood up and stretched, preparing his aching muscles, before whisking around and leading the way out of the camp into the territory. Deathpaw's tail lashed in annoyance. She had no reason to go out patrolling, it wouldn't help her getting any stronger. However, even Deathpaw knew when to hold her tongue so she sat down. Not looking to pleased, she decided to answer Nightpelt's question.
"Well I've got nothing better to do. Let's go I guess," Deathpaw muttered as she turned towards the entrance of camp. What she expected to find out there? Plenty of pines and the occasion squirrel. There wouldn't be anything to crazy for her to get excited over on a border patrol. She ignored Swiftwhisper's sarcastic remark, there had been plenty of times she had been teased for being who she was, but Deathpaw couldn't help being who she was. Maybe once her thirst for revenge has subsided would her attitude on the world change.

Nightpelt could already tell this patrol wasn't going to be anything to enjoy. None of them seemed to be in a good moon right now so chances are there'd be a snappy remark here and there along the way. But since both cats had agreed the tom gives a small nod and turns. "We'll head towards Riverclan first." He tells the pair before padding over to the camp entrance and pushing his way out into the territory. Thornpaw woke up as the sun hit his eyes from the den's entrance. As he padded out of his den, he saw Nightpelt, Deathpaw, and Swiftwhisker going out on patrol and he could smell that Stormsight went out with Jetstar and Aspenfur, leaving him alone in camp. "I guess i could check the herb store..." He said to himself, feeling left out, until his stomach growled. "After getting something to eat." He then leisurely padded over to the fresh-kill pile, grabbing a lizard when he arrived. He then proceeded to eat in the shade of the barrier, being able to watch the camp entrance from his spot.
